Oakville

Congrats to my buyers who just bought a beautiful atrium ranch off of Becker in Oakville! The house had a great finished basement and backs up to Bee Tree Park with Mississippi River overlooks. A hiking trail even comes right up to their back yard!  This section of Oakville east of Telegraph is really pretty and you can get  a gorgeous atrium ranch or 1.5 story for under $300,000.  My buyers had been looking for quite a long time and they were sold on the location and the house.  Some of the selling points were the great master suite, kitchenette in the basement, big deck off the kitchen, and beautiful tiered landscaping descending into the park behind the house.  Between the location and all these bonuses they were really happy with their purchase.

The park was one of the main selling points.  Besides the hiking trail coming up to the backyard Bee Tree Park offers biking, a lake for fishing, pavilions, grilling, miles of trails, and views of the Mississippi River.  The park is operated by St. Louis County and is kept up immaculately.  The house is a 5 minute walk from the park entrance (if they choose to use it rather than the hiking trail in the yard).  The people living near the park are in and out of it constantly for excercise and relaxation.

Here is a link to some an article with some great pictures (both by Mary K. Morgan) in the Mehlville-Oakville Patch showcasing Bee Tree and some of the other picturesque landscapes in Oakville.
